Tangihanga Grants

To qualify for a Tangihanga Grant:

  • The deceased must be a shareholder, child, grandchild, or great grandchild of a shareholder
  • An invoice of costs relating to the tangihanga must be produced
  • These applications are always open

Education Grants

To qualify for an Education Grant:

  • Applicants must be listed as a shareholder, children of shareholders or grandchildren of shareholders in the Register for the Kiwinui Trust
  • Must be full-time students at University, Polytech, College of Education, Wananga or NZQA Accredited Institutions
  • Students must be in at least their second year of full-time study

RATAHI LANDS TRUST (Rangitaiki 12B 2B)

Education Grants

To qualify for a Education Grant:

  • Applicant must be a beneficiary of  the Ratahi lands Trust descending by blood to the tupuna Rooha Petera and Te Ratahi
  • Enrolled in full-time study in an undergraduate or post graduate course of study at a wananga, university or polytechnic.  For secondary students you must be enrolled in a New Zealand Secondary School
    Your application form must be accompanied by official Confirmation of Full Time Enrolment on the institution’s letterhead with the following details including date, dame of institution, name of student, course of study, year of study and course fee invoice.  For secondary students official confirmation of Full Time Enrolment on the schools letterhead with the following details including date, name of institution, name of student, year of study.
  • Secondary school applications will need to supply receipts for school uniforms, school shoes, stationery, school fee invoice or receipt and or any other associated school costs including school excursions.  Grant will be paid directly to the school or reimburse based upon production of receipts
  • All applications must attach last year’s course results or copy of school report

Dividends

To qualify for a dividend:

  • Applicant must be listed as a shareholder in the Register of Puapua Shareholders
  • Identification in the form of a copy of your Drivers Licence or Passport must be attached
  • Bank account details must be provided – dividends will not be paid by cheque
  • If you are a beneficiary of a Whanau Trust, details must be supplied
